Introducing the Custom Pearly Kitty necklace! Beautiful strung freshwater pearl necklace with your own CUSTOM Kitty pendant! One of our new favourite necklaces featuring our brand new signature kitty style! <3 

This necklace is lovingly designed and handcrafted completely in-house by our founder Katie in her glass studio from scratch. 

The Custom Process

Photo Upload: Custom photos can be uploaded below, if you want to send any additional photos or further description please email hello@picnicblanketjewellery.com, along with your order number.

After your custom bead is made, you will be sent photos before the necklace is finished and dispatched.

The Lampwork Process
Each lampwork feature bead takes up to half an hour to delicately form by hand in the flame and reaches temperatures up to 800°C, before heading to soak in the warmth of the kiln for over 6 hours where the annealing process strengthens and ensures longevity of the finished bead.

Once cooled, the beads are then carefully removed from the mandrels which they were formed on. They are then individually washed, reamed, cleaned and polished all by hand, before moving to the studio bench where they are crafted into finished pieces, with the total process taking 2 days to complete from start to finish.

All Cats: Due to the delicate handcrafted nature of this product this means that each cat will be completely unique and no two will ever be identical. Please keep this in mind when purchasing. 

Custom Cats: The cat we make will be in our signature style and although we endeavor to match your cat's colour/markings as closely as possible the practical properties of glass/the colour range we have access to may vary slightly.
